Main purpose of the role is to support the solutioning of the GBS Strategic Road map. Aligned with the Group Transformational agenda; GBS will expand scope and services portfolio beyond existing services for Finance and HR and unlock new growth opportunities in areas all areas of the business – Marketing/ Commercial Finance/ Operations/R&D/etc.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work with Transformation Lead to successfully transition market into new Operating Model – ensuring all tasks/aspects of the transition are well handled, consolidate and issues raised where project timelines are impacted
  • Handle risks and issues registers of the project
  • Act as the key interface between End Market, functional project managers and functions in the transition
  • Prepare and communicate timely update reports on project status, meeting minutes, issue logs and risk registers to both internal and external clients.
  • Provide hands-on project management assistance and/or where required, shadowing of Transformation Lead
  • Lead all aspects of flawless integration of new GBS team:
  • Identify and co-ordinate continuous improvement initiatives i.e. lessons learned from previous transitions
  • Navigate through ambiguity, handling and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, fast paced environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments
  • Build a comprehensive communication strategy to ensure effective communication to partners about strategy, goals, and initiatives to drive delivery of results
  • Improve relationships and partnering with customers and internal departments
  • Partnering with the right stakeholders to enable implementation of associated organisational change plan linked with project ambition
  • Ensures that projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters; negotiates changes in project resources as vital to achieve objectives and timelines.
  • Prepare stage-gate documentation, work with HR to build position descriptions
  • Lead project managers to execute results
  • Works with relevant partners to ensure GBS acquires the insights it needs at the quality and granularity it requires for better planning and execution.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required


  • Experience of identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement
  • Experience owning the life-cycle of sophisticated growing the speed of delivery, negotiating resources and priorities. Making trade-offs between short-term needs vs. long-term needs
  • Prior experience in handling sophisticated, high risk projects to improve performance and deliver service at regional or global level in fast paced organisations
  • Experience with change management in large transformation projects
  • Experience of working within a Scrum or Prince 2/PMP environment or equivalent.
  • Experience of identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement

Functional/technical


  • Validated knowledge in Business Process Modeling is considered an advantage
  • Strong functional expertise in any areas like Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing at end market or GBS
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to look beyond the numbers to identify trends and insights
  • Rational decision making and problem-solving ability is crucial
  • An ability to work optimally with all levels of staff within the company and external parties
  • Motivating, mentor and developing people
  • High level of commercial awareness

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required


  • University graduate
  • Any functional credentials are a plus (ACCA/CIMA/PHR/CIPD/CIPS etc based on functional experience)
  • Project Management Certified
  • Agile Methodology Practitioner and Scrum Master is preferred
